t ACUC we receive many calls and emails daily from divers that can not go diving because they have lost or forgotten their certification card at home. Many of them are in far away places, in a dive centre that does not allow them to go diving because they can not show they are certified divers. They contact us asking us to send them or the dive centre, a document confirming that they are indeed certified.
Although at ACUC we try to give these types of calls maximum priority, we need time to search our records, prepare the confirmation document and send it by email. This could mean that the person that contact us could loose one or more days of diving. Also, if this happens during a weekend or during a statutory holiday, when the ACUC certification department is closed, it could cause that the person affected might not be able to dive during 3 or more days, ruining the affected person diving holidays. To avoid this inconvenience, ACUC offers you our “CARE” service. This is a 24/7 services, in other words it is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To access this service all you need is Internet access and a password that ACUC will provide you with. Nowadays, most dive centres and hotels worldwide have Internet access.
